How much air should I put in my tyres?
Check for your vehicle’s recommended tyre pressure you will find this either on the inside of the driver’s door, or it will be listed within the owner’s manual. Most cars will recommend 32 psi to 35psi.
Where is my spare tyre kept?
If your spare tyre is not mounted externally on the back door, then it is more than likely stored within your boot beneath the floor.Â
How do you change a tyre?
If you are not confident in changing your vehicle’s tyre. It is best to leave it to a qualified mechanic. It is important your tyres are fitted safely and securely.Â
What's the ideal size tyre for my vehicle?
Most vehicles can actually fit several different sizes. You will find this information within the owner’s handbook.Â
What is the legal minimum tread requirement?
The law requires a minimum of 1.6mm all the way around. Manufacturers usually design tyres so that the mould tread bars are 1.6mm thick.
Are my tyres appropriate for winter?
Most people are unaware that you are advised to change your tyre for a winter appropriate set. Winter tyres offer better and safer braking in snow and icy conditions.
